ICT Week: European Union and Brazil debate on innovation and digital transformation
Carlos Oliveira, Minister-Counsellor on ITC Policies at the Delegation of the Union Delegation to Brazil; Thiago Camargo Lopes, Secretary of IT Policy; and the Secretary for Technological Development and Innovation, Jorge Mario Campagnolo, were present at the opening ceremony of the first day.
The second day, the opening ceremony will be attended by the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Brazil (Delbra), João Cravinho; the MCTIC Minister, Gilberto Kassab; the Secretary for Technological Development and Innovation, Álvaro Toubes Prata, and the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Digital Innovation, José Gontijo, both from MCTIC.
According to Cravinho, the ICT Week represents an important milestone in cooperation between the European Union and Brazil. "We are convinced that we will have an event of great impact and success, like we did last year. The EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility is an important tool to promote the exchange of information and experiences on topics like this, which debate the beginning of a new generation of digital technologies”, he said.
