Third Innovation Week in Public Management
The Innovation Week in Public Management is organised annually by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management (MP) and in partnership with ENAP. In this third edition, the event is sponsored by the Sector Dialogues Support Facility, in relation to the partnership established between the European Union and the government of Brazil. Their search to increase the institutionality of the Public Sector Innovation Network (InovaGov), with the intention of applying a transformative application towards the developed activities within the network and improve public management through actions and innovative practices is the main focus.
During these four days, with an estimated 500 people in attendance, representatives of both the public and private sectors, from Brazilian and foreign universities and institutions will share experiences of themes such as artificial intelligence in the public sector, challenges within the Brazilian Digital Government, and digital technology, among others. Highlighted within these themes will be discussions about InovaGov. The goal is to create an effective transversal implementation of the Journey to Transform Public Services, which consequently, will permit the full development of the Digital Citizen Platform.
Among the activities, designed with the objective of promoting interaction between the attendees, are inspirational and dynamic lectures (short talks), workshops, round tables and experience sharing (inside stories) that will be taking place.
The event will be divided into three main themes: Government Innovation, Digital Transformation and Tendencies. The Government Innovation theme will broach topics such as the design of services, social innovation, open innovation, behaviorism applied to public policies and others. The theme relating to Digital Transformation will touch on diverse experiences, including data governance, data science and analytics, digital government indicators, digitalization of services, smart cities, and many more. The last theme deals with Tendencies in technology and services that are currently influencing, or will one day influence public policies, and the transformation of public services such as the Internet of Things, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, among others.
